These are our dogs; Eddie, 1 year old and Dewey, 3 years old. Eddie is an English Pointer and Dewey is a Yellow Lab. We just rescued Eddie from the Humane Society. He was found by a police officer on a main street downtown and he was all skin and bones. So he’s very happy about his new home and family! He especially loves his big brother Dewey!

There’s an adoption event going on in San Diego this upcoming Sunday.
It’s called the Big Dogs Rock Adoption Event, and is happening on August 8, 2010 at Fiesta Island (located in San Diego County). As the name hints, this adoption event holds more than 150 breeds of big dogs that are available for adoption! I hope many of our fellow followers of APlaceToLoveDogs can attend :)

there is a sharp difference in the mental capacity of humans and dogs for example a human who is given an intricate problem will spend all day trying to solve it but a dog will have the sense to give up and do something else

This is my dog Petey! I’ve had him since I was 4 years old and I’m now almost 17. He’s the best dog in the world and I really don’t know what I’m going to do when he’s not around anymore.
